Askia is a native of Greensboro, NC, a storyteller whose creative spirit spans filmmaking, writing, music, and visual arts. Driven by a passion for social justice and a commitment to amplifying underrepresented voices, Askia crafts narratives that inspire change and foster understanding.

His filmmaking work, exemplified by the award-winning documentary “Our Crown and Glory,” showcases his ability to tackle complex social issues with sensitivity and artistry. As a producer, director, and cinematographer, Askia brings a unique vision to each project, ensuring that every story is told with authenticity and impact.


Beyond filmmaking, Askia is an accomplished writer, exploring diverse genres from children’s literature to sci-fi fantasy. His creative writing reflects his deep desire to connect with audiences on an emotional level and to challenge conventional narratives.
