Meet Your Instructor

Adriane O’Pharrow is a Washington, DC native and has performed on stage since the age of 4. She is a trained singer, dancer, and actress. An alumna of Winston-Salem State University, Adriane majored in Mass Communications with a minor in Dramatic Arts. Adriane has been featured in the DC Black Theatre & Arts Festival for over 5 years as a performer and director and has acted in a plethora of performances over the years including: For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow was Enuf, Macbeth, The Color Purple, The Colored Museum, Yellowman and more.

Projection

Our Projection class focuses on techniques to strengthen and control the voice, enabling performers  or public speakers to deliver their lines or speeches with clarity, confidence, and impact, ensuring they can be heard clearly and command attention in any setting.



ABILITY

Our Ability class focuses on developing the range, tone, and expressiveness of one’s voice, equipping performers or public speakers with the skills to convey emotions, captivate audiences, and effectively communicate their message with nuanced delivery and resonance. 



CHARACTERIZATION

Our Characterization class focuses on how to embody different roles or personas authentically, including gestures, expressions, and vocal nuances, enhancing the ability to convincingly portray diverse characters or personas on stage or in presentations.

ENERGY

Our Energy class teaches performers or public speakers techniques to control and channel their physical and emotional energy effectively, enhancing stage presence, charisma, and ability to engage audiences with dynamic and impactful performances.
